Kadua Guro Christian Mahringer

I have been part of the ISE/ITO under Suro Inay for more than 20 years. In the last years more and more as an instructor for my (new) students.

The Inayan System of Eskrima has always been a seamless system. The training philosophy, mainly from basics to technique, to reflex training to free application to sparring has always been stringent.

Suro Inay has made a great contribution by compressing the training content to the essentials.

The new training concept is more intuitive and easier to learn.

Another important step was taken with the move to digitization.

I am proud to be involved in this further development of the system.

Inayan Guro Loren Due

I started training the Suro Jason Inay in March 2005 after an extensive search for an Eskrima  master. At the time I was already teaching martial arts and decided I needed to learn weapons. Once I started training with Suro Inay he changed my perspective of martial arts. Suro Jason Inay taught me to become a better teacher.

The Instructor Training Course provided me tools to help my students learn faster. They are able to process complex concept at a faster rate. My students are able to maintain g steady growth and not experience plateaus. The Instructor Training Course provides the student with the necessary skills to become more effective teachers regardless the martial art or material.

Inayan Sursuro GM Tom Lopez 10th Dan

I started training with Mangisursuro Mike Inay in 1992, and have had him and his son Suro Jason Inay to teach seminars at my schools here in Wisconson.

The original curriculum was great under Mangisursuro Inay, we got direct instruction in Eskrima, history and Filipino Martial Culture, and written materials and testing to accompany the program.

Under Suro Jason Inay I have the added benefit of having all the material available in video format, which makes for much easier reference when I have a question, not to mention my students love it when GM Jason Inay comes to teach a seminer at my main school.

I cannot recommend highly enough the quality of training both in person and video format the ITO has been able to provide me, the Instructor Certifications are invaluable.

The Inayan Difference

The Systems

Inayan System of Eskrima was founded by Mangisursuro Mike Inay and is comprised of complete styles of Filipino Martial Arts that address combat, and self defense needs. The three core styles are Inayan Kadena De Mano, Inayan Serrada Eskrima, and Inayan Largo Mano. The core styles address short, long and medium range tactics as well as empty hand, knife, single stick, stick and dagger, sword and dagger, and long stick or cane and long sword tactics. The Secondary styles in the system are Inayan Siniwali Eskrima, Inayan Dequerdas Eskrima, and Inayan Espada Y Daga Eskrima. The Secondary styles address circling tactics, flanking tactics, and movement and range independent lethal tactics while also covering the use of a short sword or stick, use of double weapons, and the use of the sword and dagger. The utility systems of the Inayan System of Eskrima are Inayan Sibat-Bankow, Inayan Dos Manos Eskrima, Inayan Jogo Todo Eskrima, Inayan Yantok Y Daga, Inayan Estokada and more. The utility styles address different weapon and manipulation tactics like flexible weapons, staff and spear, and other tools and concepts.

Spyder Dumog System was founded by Suro Jason Inay and applies the Inayan Cypher to arts both inside and outside Filipino Martial Culture. The Spyder Dumog System includes Harimaw Silat, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Catch as Catch Can Wresting for it's ground fighting curriculum. For empty hand stand up fighting it includes Jeet Kune Do, Inayan Kadena De Mano, Filipino Panantukan and Kali empty hands, as well as Mondern Combatives, and Majapahit Silat. For weapons, th Spyder Dumog System utilizes methodology from the Inayan System of Eskrima and the Inosanto Method of FMA, and Majapahit Silat.

Suro Jason Inay

From an early age, of all of Mangisursuro Mike Inay’s students, only his children were taught the art in a way that true to his intention for the future of the Inayan System of e3skrima and the future of martial arts as he said it. Suro Jason Inay is his eldest child, and his most prolific students. And the only one that was taught specifically to lead the art and the system of Inayan.

Mangisursuro Mike Inay had a special insight into how to develop a student through an organized curriculum and high standard of practical requirements. His focus was to help promote Filipino Martial Arts, and develop individuals through a process that ensured a high standard of quality in every instructor that was influenced by his pedagogical approach. The Cabales Serrada Eskrima system, the West Coast Eskrima Society, Pressure Point Control Tactics all have been influenced by GM Mike Inay. No other system and organization than the Inayan System of Eskrima and the Inayan Training Organization.

Suro Jason Inay started trainining at an early age and rose to senior and instructor levels through his entire youth and became an instructor at 18 after training more that 12 years under the watchful eye of his father. Where his father brought structure and credibility to the art and organization bearing his family name, Suro Jason Inay brings an insight into applied psychology and learning theory and real world experience as a former Law Enforcement and Security professional.

The Inayan System of Eskrima is a vast and deep system of many Filipino Martial Art styles.

The Spyder Dumog System brings the Inay family’s methodology outside of strictly Philippine martial traditions, and includes real world combatives, Silat, Kali, South East Asian kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do (JKD), and the grappling arts from Indonesia, Brazil, and Catch as Catch Can Wresting.
